LGB 40520 DR Red Baggage Car

Be wary of 0-8-0 on R1 curves it runs in theory but in practice as it is a straight chassis with all flanged wheels it grinds around R1 and takes a lot of volts to make it start on R1. 2-6-2 is fine on R1. Don't even consider 2-10-2 on R1 it looks ridiculous. The 0-10-0 chassis is articulated so Saxon VIK looks and runs okay as do any Bo-Bo or 0-4-4-0 locos as long as you allow for the overhang.

Thanks Dave for the advice. I think the 2-6-2 is the best choice for my track., and that anything longer will look silly, especially with the overhang.

Thanks Gizzy. I will consider a Rugens 0-8-0, though the Ballerina 2-6-2 is my top choice..............so far LOL.

Hm Rungen though a nice loco was wrong gauge for the Harz.Stick to what I have said previous, few locs made in G that work.
