Hi Dave,No problem. I was looking for a green one 41520 for several years.
Be wary of buying from US because of time, shipping costs and possible import taxes, even though eBay do handle some of that for you. Easier to buy from Germany even if the item cost is a little more as there are no hidden costs and faster delivery.
Thanks Dave for the advice re: pricing. Guess I will have to get the crowbar out and open the walletWhether it is a lot of money depends on how badly you want it!
They are not that rare but I don't think you'll see one VGC with OVP for less than £120 "buy it now" unless it is battered or broken in some way with no box. You might get lucky in an auction.
Have you taken the plunge yet Paul? I remembered buying some DR coaches from Germany years ago. I thought they'd be in the garage somewhere so went for a delve. Found this, to the best of my knowledge I've never run it on the track- wheels are unmarked. Still got the original SPISLA Eisenbahn & Modellbau price tag on the box - DM 137,50 !!!! Checked on Google and they're still in business in the town of Kurten. To all intents and purposes it's like new.Hi Dave,
I'm pleased you told me that because I was going to order from the US as the cost of the item + shipping + Customs was around £129.
The item from Germany is around £140. For the sake of £11 it might be easier to order the German one, though I think that is a lot of money for such as small carriage. However, I guess I need to balance that against the fact that it is no longer available new and I've had a pretty good search across UK retailers in case there was one lurking about.
Paul

I'm sure I can find something in my garage. But then he'd have to admit to himself (and the Missus) how much he's actually got.... that way lies madness and, possibly, divorce....![]()

Same goes for me, though I strongly suspect I've only got a tiny fraction of Mike's hoard - and I did gain a few Wifey Points over the last few days by actually selling the things on my old Piko sales thread. There is now an empty shelf in the train shed - hmmm, wonder what's going to fill it...?
Jon.
PM shortly - gone for another look in the garage. As Lawrence Oates famously said "I may be gone some time".Hi Mike,
Thanks for your message.
That's exactly the one I'm looking for. Please can you let me know how much you're selling it for, and also if you have any other DR red/cream bogie coaches.
Regards,
Paul
