My dog has now derailed my new LGB 26813 DR loco a couple of times resulting in some damage and scuffing up the one side of the body. It looks like the loco body is sprayed black and it is not the black plastic colour itself. Is there a matching touch up paint and/or spray available from anywhere?
Thanks,
Mark

What is 26813> save me getting the book out!

For black touch ups I use Matt Black car paint spray, Just done a roof this morning!
I am not too sure if LGB loco etc are actually painted or just self coloured plastic.

Oh, I was wondering who/what a "Doctor Black" was!

Made me think of "Dr Yellow"

I have just looked at a black Frank S type and a green 2091 diesel and scraped a little of the body work which is underneath and not visible, there was no indication of paint there just the plastic, but who knows !
It is sonething I have often wondered about

Hi
When i was in the LGB service department all LGB bodies were sprayed the colour of the plastic this is why they do not fade. If you look at an LGB video they show the spraying of the stainz loco. For black i use satin black from Halfords.

My 2-10-2 definitely is black plastic body shell. i understand that LGB then paint the shell for a better and UV resistant finish.

Interesting I often wondered what the finish was, although i did have a red 2095 B0-B0 which did actually
fade quite considerably when it was compared with a more recent purchase, Not that it mattered too much becaue I reliveried GWR Chocolate & Cream!
Reminds me of one time member 'Mariazellerbahn' who was on G Scale Mad, he had a Blue /White 2095.
Thread drift again!

Red always tend to fade the most badly.. Apparently, it is a fugitive colour.. Though, other than it fades, I do not really know what that means!
