Anyone know which screws to remove to get to the motor/drive.
Problem is the power pick up/ wheels have power but drive is intermittent.

This diagram may hep a little.

Remove the screws numbered 7 and 18 that go through the baseplate (not all are shown in the picture) and then remove the baseplate.

I fixed a similar problem with a steam outline version. The motor tabs needed tweaking slightly to make good contact with their supply wires.

There has just recently been a pretty big thread on a similar line.

It looks very much like the gear, driven from the worm, is worn??
It should NOT be concave.

Ooh, yes, that gear does look a little bit worse for wear.... has the loco had a lot of running? The gear should last a lot better than that!
Motor worm gear perhaps meshing too tightly, and chewing into the plastic gear wheel...?

When I tested motor disengaged from gears powered via the pickups it was very reluctant to spin.
Any idea what the circuit board does?
