Just put them on the light terminals. But change the cv's to 5 otherwise you will put 22volt through them

Right!
Got one wheel sensor on loco.
the other is a reed switch Black brown black lead.
I will disconnect bulbs first!
also got wheel sensor wires in tender.
Help!
Plus the fire light box and sound knob and 4 way switch ? Stuck!

very unlikely - that would be confusing to have sensors from the tender wheels as well as the loco. Surely they're power pickups?

Have a look at the exploded view diagram for the loco on the champex-linden website?

Your probably right!
They go to rear socket in the tender for coach connection.
Just checked the curcuit.
Cheers

Do these pick ups from tender need to go to chip?

Well, what you want to achieve is to get all the power pickup wiring from loco and tender to connect to the decoder's track input terminals. How you do this depends on the wiring, but presumably two of the wires from loco to tender will be for the track power. Offhand I don't know which, not having done such a job on a Mogul (yet!)

Seems like you're having to do more "rip and re-wire" than perhaps anticipated?

No its going well.
First one.
Sussed what feeds the same rails so will connect to tarck power on chip as you say.
bit more complicated than my hornby ones!

Found a problem.
Got pick up from tender on right track loco going forward..
got nothing feeding through left track to inside tender.
Wonder if this could have made the sound u-s.

fixed the pick up problem .
Swapped wheels round on tender.
All good and working
Sound all good!
