Lenz/MTS 3 compatibility

Hmm, need to correct the above post, because I now think the MTS system uses button 9 instead of button 0 for the directional lights function. Sorry for the potentially bad info above…
Buttons 1-6 I ‘think’ do control functions 1-6 on MTS.
But I’m now getting in a bit above my head with MTS!!!
Perhaps someone else can advise. Basic theory remains sound though - check all the buttons and see what they currently do.

Many thanks again James. I'll check them tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks James. I will proceed through the minefield with due care.

I would suggest running it, switch the lights on using button 9 and see if they come on, then adjust the speed up and down - if they switch on and off as you change speed then the decoder is probably set to 28 speedsteps.

For the LGB MTS III:
CV 1 is the engine address, MTS III limits the max number, I belieive 1-23. Mass oth navigator will give more choices.
CV 29 is the speed steps and a 4 gives 14 steps with analog control. Massoth navigator will allow 28 speed steps
