My Krokodil made unfortunate contact with my brothers' oversized rear and the front pantograph was pushed in further (or back from direction of travel) raising it such that it can not be lowered anymore. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Since the cross bar is pretty rigid, flexing it out of the way did not work. I'm wondering if filing the sharp angle down or removing the whole assembly is necessary. I can't be the first person this has happened to, right?

We used to get this happen now and again on the Ruschbahn where we had full overhead fitted, most if the time they could be bent back in sort of shape with pliers. BUT remove the pan first only 4 screws to remove. Then gently with some good strong pliers bend back to shape as best you can. Looking at yours none of the wires appear badly bent so it may just be some brute force applied but better off the loco. You coukd temporarily screw it to a block of woid to aid the fix.

I was able to fix it without issue! I removed the entire pantograph but had to file the sharp edge and apply more force than I was comfortable with to right everything. Fortunately, except for a little bend on the crosspar to help the arms clear it, and which went straight when the panto was fixed to the loco again, no lasting damage or bends.

Thanks for the help!
