Hi,

I was just making some cars for a junkyard scene on our railroad and wanted to share some of the photos. An old AMT kit provided the base for the first in the project, still needs more rust and dirt powders.

Thanks for looking,
Gav

Thanks John,

Its actually just kitchen paper towel sliced up then soaked in diluted PVA white glue. I left it to dry for a while then painted it a deep maroon colour. The final step was to go over it with a black wash.

All the best,
Gavin

as usual
youve done a great job-love the dull grey given an eye pleasing lift and interest with the colored tarp

without any dents-just missing parts-youve given a convincing message of a derelict (the auto not you Gavin!)

Hi,

I must appologise to all the classic car fans out there as I'm destroying some pretty nice autos, but here is the next in the junkyard scene. Its another old AMT kit that was missing a few parts, an old pontiac GTO. Please excuse the quality of photos, my girlfriend is away on holiday with our digital camera so I'm just using my mobile to take these. Thanks for looking.

All the best,
Gavin

Thanks steven, yeah its all for a junkyard scene I'm working on for our railroad. The photo below shows where it will go when its all finished; the spur on the bottom right of the pic with the tracks in the dirt is the area set aside for it. The office building is just placed down as a rough idea, plus there will be a corrugated iron fence round the perimeter and hopefully a large earth mover with a magnet attachment to move the junk around the plot. The spur will hold about 2/3 gondals.

Thanks,
Gavin
