Introducing the Sandstone and Termite

I know there's been plenty of videos of my railway in the past, so the title is misleading.
In this video I've tried to show how the railway fits into my backyard, not just the nice views of the trains. (Inspiration by Rik acknowledged)
So if you have 13 minutes to spare, you'll get a quick orientation around the backyard, see me performing superhuman feats of cleaning track and getting out buildings, and you'll get a Learners lesson on train driving and be allowed to drive a train around the whole line, while I provide some banal commentary. (beware Aussie accent!)

hmmm, now why does the Youtube link automatically embed these days and why is full screen mode disabled???
Is it my problem or the GSC website's???

Brilliant video Greg. Thanks for the acknowledgement but what you didn't mention is that I got my idea by watching one of your videos (this is getting a bit like thanks ping-pong). Really like the 'silent movie' section - and how all the bits I've seen individually before fit together.

According to Google's help it is a setting on the web site: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6276924

BTW - really like the way you`ve used one of those cheapo keyfob transmitters to control your loco. I was intrigued as to how you can get it to control three different locos.

I hadn`t realised those little transmitters were so versatile.

Thanks Greg. Really puts the scenes we have seen before into context..
Quite jealous of the amount of space you have to 'play' with, and like how you have made use of the natural obstacles in the garden.

I can feel another visit coming on Greg, just have to get my act together and escape the evil clutches of my boss. ;)

Great vid Greg.

Full screen mode is disabled because your vid is embedded. Use the youtube function to embed, insert your vid as a hyperlink if you don't want it embedded.

Hyperlinked vid's permit full screen mode OK.

I see your code has the tag around it. I have never used ...y to remember to use the [url] tag next time.

Yes Greg that has been a recent change.

There was some discussion in the thread below about embedding youtube vids, so Paul re-jigged the youtube functionality to permit this, which is probably why the youtube function embeds by default now. If you hover over the youtube button it does now say "Embed a youtube video url" (I only noticed that myself this morning :D )

Using the the "Insert Hyperlink" option adds the tags and permits the video to be o...hat it can be viewed full-screen if required.

The work-around I have found is to click on the Youtube symbol in the bottom right of the embedded video to go to Youtube, then you can go to full screen.

Of course mate the "Youtube" symbol, why did I not remember that? Basically acts in the same way as the hyperlink.

Excellent Greg!
Your layout is much bigger than I imagined and very interesting too (I already knew that from previous images :D ).
Very enjoyable indeed sir.

I must get around to doing something similar ........ one day.......

Flipping awesome Greg, really impressive. Such a good idea to have an over view of the railway and garden, it really shows the amount of work done and the size of the railway......Super garden, and I love those over hanging boulders.
It looks lovely and warm in your garden as well, a lot better than wet dull Wales.

Many thanks to all you who replied. I appreciate it.
I hope some of you get your cameras out and show off your yard and GR.

I should have waited 2 weeks to make the video and got the wisteria blooming.
This is what the start of the movie walking down the path would have looked like....
