Here's his website - somewhere he describes them as technical toys. Sort of Wilesco meets steampunk. It looks like he designed the turo-generator set and then looked for something for it to do. I like 'em - the generator set in particular.

The steam turbine looks more like an Emmett job than steampunk. Not clear why someone would pay $200+ for the loco/railcar thinggy, tho'. In Britain, we find it so difficult to copy your famous German sense of humour.

True, it is overpriced (and what precisely is HO in 1/32?) but get some 5v motors and just the turbine and build your own toys.
