Finally finished the upgrading of my Br80. Last thing to do is the valve gear.

Dont know if you've seen this yet, TAC on the LSC site posted the link, I'll just pass it along here as well. Should be a sure fit for the US version as well

Thanks! I don't have much problems with dirty wheels, but the loco is quite sensitive for dirt on the track to ensure smooth running. You have a Br80 with the completely black wheels? I took the whole black coating off with a LGB track cleaning block. They shine nicely and are less sensitive to dirt.

The Yanks had whitewall tyres, the DR/DB had whitewall buffers! Each to his own. :D
If you look closely at the far buffer it is also painted white behind the face where it goes into the piston thingy. :nerd:
Sorry I couldn't find anything prettier to photograph but it just struck me as poignant.
Ah, and it isn't a BR80, it's a 2-6-2.

Where on earth did you find that???
Santa brought it
Seriously it is at Konz, near Trier, in Germany. Just below a roundabout on my way to the shops. If you didn't know, or like us have an eye for such things, you wouldn't spot it.
She really is a bit of a sad old girl, deserves better but too late now :crying:
