we are going to convert the 3 pin gear boxs to a 4 pin, ok, 3 pins, and add a extra wire..so we can fit a lgb mts2 chip

remove the screws holding the top off the gear boxs , lift top off

you will notice ive cut away some off the red plastic, besides the single pin, this pin, did both surplly power directly to the motor, and to the on bord electronics, we remove the old electronics, fit heat shrink over the pin, so it can NOT touch the motor tab,bend motor tab away from isolated pin,soilder wire on to motor pin, cover with heat shrink

fit the motor back in the gearboxs, make sure it sits correctly, and messhes nicely into the gear cogs.. fish the wire up/through, the gear boxs lid, refit lid

now, it was a while a go, you need to fit the chip, inside the bonnet i think, wire the lights to the chip, extend the chip wires, all 4, so they will easyly reach the gear boxs, like this,

reasembel the shunter, becarefull to get the chip wires on the correct pins/wires, i use a multimeter to check

then, [pop it on a mts interface thingy, let it read it out, before putting it on a track
