before, and after, well, u get the idea..
the clear sillicon will hold the coal, but if you decided you dont like it, it comes out easly enough, and you can simplyy
re fit the plastic coal load...

Very nice addition - looks good. Now, where in this smoke-free zone can I buy one lump of coal to smash up?

I see Mike has some of that rare LGB 'groovy' track, last photo in the background with a motor lying on it. I own a couple of pieces too and strangely the grooves are the same distance apart as a Stainz's wheels

lakeside and haverwait railway, at the lakes.... took wify, romatic day out, nipped intyo the preserved railway, borrowed a large lump off coal.....

If you have difficulty obtaining coal try crushing barbeque charcoal instead - what's more it is lighter in weight than coal.

Looks miles better than the plastic coal

Brilliant Mike!

I am just such an idiot and have been putting off doing this due to unimpressive experiences with own brand silicon glue from well-known high st electronics store.

What brand did you use please?

Mike

nigel, i think the coals inported, eastern erupoean....

From my days in geography class (long time ago) I seem to recall that eastern European coal could be classed as brown coal, noted for the amount of "clag" it produced. Does this mean that the smoke unit in the model will need to be changed? ;)

Mike for your next installment can we have an idiots guide to buying a real mallet and putting plastic coal in it :rolf:
