I knew i would finish it one day !

Beware of unheated and unventilated buildings. - Especially if housing electronics.

Extremes of temperature, and humidity, can cause real problems.

Phil, cheers for the heads up. Luckily this outbuilding has two small windows on either end that have fly window openings that allow some through breeze, but i did consider the impact of heat build up especially as i want to store rolling stock in there as well but i think it will be ok but will monitor things just in case.

Jason.

So that’s a new cable from out house to track all laid and connected to the track with some new connectors.l found an old line side hut that I am now using to shelter the wiring from the elements.

A quick test run showed everything worked just fine.

I also changed the batteries in the Massoth handsets and re positioned the wireless receiver so I can now walk about the railway hands free when running trains.

Slowly moving forward with each trip across to the railway.

As it was raining on my latest visit to the railway i decided to set up a new test track ready for some decoder programing. I have even found the Massoth manuals so i re learn how to properly use this DCC system as its been many many years since i last played around with this system.
