I just had a very weird thing happen to me

I had received my new engine, an RHB "Blick" engine and was using two different kinds of remotes at once, one was a dimax navigator snd the other an old Lgb remote. . The engine started playing the horn for every sound that I had. So I shut it all down and decided to leave it for a few days. . It was quite weird hearing all of the horns going of on my train when I was trying to hit some of the other sounds on the train. I believe that this sound issue started when I used the Lgb remote Does anybody have any ideas on what happened? I am now headed down stairs to check on this locomotive. Now I just came up from my basement after finding out that the sound from my train were back after having lost them thee days

Sounds a bit like a serial / parallel issue, with (I assume) F1 for horn, and higher F numbers being interpreted as multiple F1 signals. How that happened and why it is not happening now is a bit if a mystery.

Agreed, need to also make speed steps from controller are same as speed steps in the decoder.

I just have the same problem with my "new" loco the E1 with sound. I'm using the massoth navigator only, but 5 of them. Itried it on our test track in the workshop a day later and the same failure came up.. I will try it again tomorrow .

FYI all Original LGB serial decoders were 14 steps only and did not have BEMF (55020 by Lenz and Massoth). 55021 decoders were 14/28 speed steps.
There were several firmware versions of these decoders and the higher the version number, the more features they had.
Also watch out for the function keys for F1-8 as there are 2 different tables (1-8 and 9-16)
