How many people think they'd be able to get this past the local planning authority?

It shouldn't be a problem...........there've been no structural alterations!!!!! :rolf::laugh::rolf::laugh:

(and another Howe truss bridge!)

Actually " Ceiling" Level lines are quite common particularly in the states, there are a few companies who advertise in Garden RAILWAYS mag who sell the components for them, and some actualy install them

One or two in commercial premesis as well (pubs, restasurants etc)

A local Toy Shop in Chester had one running around their whole shop!

There was a feature in a recent mag of one in a Market somewhere in the UK ( cant locate the mag at the mo!)

I suppose it could be quite useful if he had a flat bed truck with a toilet roll on........

I can imagine the conversation now. "I'm just going to hack a hole through this wall here dear <insert sound of head meeting frying pan here>"

Barter Books in Alnwick has one running around the paperback section.

I used to fit around the room lines for a building developer in one small bedroom of the show houses to Jazz it up a bit, it was suprising how many people insisted on the railway staying when it came time to sell the show house!! This was one of the times I found out how dirty running a layout inside can be. I used metal wheels on the waggons and coaches but I used the black plated ones from SanVal and as they went round the black wore off the wheels and fell down on the WHITE carpet.................

I wonder how he supports much of the shelf wihout using brackets?

I went to a Garden Railway Convention in Florida back in the late 1980's or early 90's. There was a High Line on the Railway Tours. Most fascinating layout of the tours, plenty of scenery went through the Kitchen and Dining Room. Built and owned - Wait for it - by a Lady.

I think the one in the vid probably uses the Invisible Support Shelving, you can get this from IKEA. I reckon this would be more than adequate unless you were running Live Steam Accucraft D+RGW Locomotives.
