Hello All,

Getting back into steam after some decades; recently acquired a Mamod SL1K and now buying an Accucraft Caradoc with a view to detail and add some R/C...

I'm sure I'll be needing some help from here, especially with my two left hands!

I'll try and post some pics of my Caradoc over the weekend; she's six years old and barely fired; the original owner was a 94-year-old who seems to have taken great care with his stuff. I'm in the process of adding a second channel on the radio-control for the regulator - the original install was 40mhz so I've removed the receiver and replaced it with a 2.4 ghz OrangeRx R615X, stripped out of its case to reduce bulk, and wrapped in heatshrink for insulation...... The (alkaline) battery holder has been removed and substituted with a 4xAA size NIMH+ Vapextech rechargeable.
I've replaced the regulator and gas knobs with brass levers and have a micro servo for the regulator - I'm just waiting for some 1.5mm piano wire to arrive and I'll be ready to complete the r/c (for now).
