Hi. I'm in the Fort Myers area and have answered a few "new FL member" threads. I was a Brit once and still run a few UK locomotives.
We have a fair number of g-scale train-ers. FGRS (http://www.fgrs.org/) has some 'meet' ideas. I've been posting (on LSC) about a couple:

Personally, I live in a condo so I have no track - just a lot of small engines cluttering up the spare room. I run them at Jack's Calusa Creek in Fort Myers (which is 20 miles from where I live on the Beach.) Oh, and 1 big engine:
which runs at the TARR (Tradewinds Park track.) My other big engine is back in Maryland.
