Hello everyone!
I'm Cathleen from Atlanta and I am coming back to G scale trains after years away. I'm trying to resurrect a V200 Diesel LGB locomotive with a Massoth XLS sound board. I stupidly undated the firmware on it to version 420 and it has this horrible screeching in some of the sounds. I did some research and I understand older XLS boards have this problem with rev 420, but the Massoth Service Tool doesn't have any older firmware for the board. All it has is 420. Does anyone know where I could find an older revision? I understand rev 4.1 is stable and not screechy. I can't seem to find it anywhere and certainly not at Massoth's site. The specific file I need is for the 82x1xxx decoder: the file 8220094 is the standard sound profile for the V 200 / BR 220 DB Diesel locomotive. Can anyone point me to where I could go on these forums for help, or indeed provide some? Or maybe there is an online archive somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Cathleen

Welcome to the forum Cathleen. Some one will be able to help I'm sure.
Don't forget a picture says a thousand words, and is easier than typing out wht you mean!

Hi Cathleen from the tiny land of Europe. As @Paul M said there are plenty of people with the knowledge you need and all are willing to impart it. You will find the same for all questions although one question will get ten replies, all different but all correct.
Ignore anyone who says we have a weird sense of humour, we are all perfectly normal grown-ups.
Above all have fun here!

I might have an earlier version here..
I probably won't have to time to look until this evening (local UK time).. Good thing is, a reply posted then, will be earlier in the day for you. :)
