Hi Guy & Girls,

I've just chipped 2 US Moguls with 2 Emotion LS Decoders.

1. 26194 D&RGW almost brand new with only little run time.
2. 25182 PRR which was second hand and had very very worn pick-ups, which i have changed.

I've trimmed both decoders exactly the same with a sprog. But the PRR one runs faster then the D&RGW. Also it stops and then re-starts (this was happening when it was fitted with an MTS2 chip) .

Do you think I need to replace the motor on the PPR.

Thanks...

Sounds very much like it

Re:Have I got a worn Motor

i think youd be better doing a ampage test on it, under load..

Re:Have I got a worn Motor

Reckon its time for a new motor, the decoders are cutting out as they sense being overloaded I reckon, There was a similar thread on here the other day regarding problems with a Mallet from Whatlep, that is prob worth your reading!! Its in the LOCOMOITIVEs section 'Troublesome Mallet etc'

Re:Have I got a worn Motor

Cheers everyone,

Just read the other thread.

One more question, can I do a amp test on DCC/MTS?.
