Hello,
I am new to the Forum and to Gauge 1 Locos.
I recently purchased a Marklin Diesel Engine from Germany. I am unable to test the train as I only have equipment for 12v OO/HO at the house.
I have tried Guagemasters in Arundle and The Station Masters Rooms at Horsham and do not have the heavy gauge equipment to test the train.
Is there another organisation preferably in the South of England (I am in Kent) where I could take the train to check it out.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

You could ask either Kent Garden Rail or Chalk Garden Rail (St Mary Cray)….
 
Thanks to Gizzy, in particular, Chalk Garden Railway of Gravesend, were extremely helpful, tested the locomotive for me whilst I waited , and all works fine.
They commented that the inside and outside of the train IMG_4320.JPGwere in pristine condition.
