Briefly perused GRM this morning whilst treating wh smiths like a public library. There was an artical about an impressive railbus converted from the the chinese coach, modeled on a russian prototype.

Not seen it on here so presume it wasnt a member but anyone tempted?
(im popping back to purchase the mag tommorow)

I am tempted with doing something like that.

I was quite taken with the BR class 101 at the GCR and fancy something with speed whiskers :-)

Swift 16 do a nice railbus kit but more than my budget at the moment.

Very interesting Article thris. It has prompted me to resolve to finish the Newquid Railcar Project that I inherited when Andy Rush of Ruschbahn fame sadly passed on. He had been beevering away on what was to be the first of a new generation of Ruschbahn Electric Multiple Units. But as the project has not gone too far I will be able to use it for a new DR Harz Type Railcar. This is what I have inherited, already seen on these pages but in view of the thread probably worth another airing.

This is the Railcar that Andy built from Scratch. I guess that the similarity has not gone unnoticed, just that the Newquid save a lot of Carving and Finger Cutting!

If you look down to 30/3/15 there is a Vid of the Railcar, but just as interesting is how he has extended what was probably a very Small Start to quite an interesting and extensive line in his Garden. Great stuff.
