I have just rejoined the G Scale Society after many years. Still with 16mm NGM. I've put your area group down with Chilterns and 3 counties. I'm about an hour away down the M40. Might pop up and take the opportunity to introduce myself if that's ok ? Max

I have always enjoyed my visits to this venue, unfortunately on this date, I shall be in Spain. I wasn't going to mention it, but you dragged it out of me.

David

You know I looked for the venue and the post code was a way out, to be honest I blamed the post code! Thanks for the correction.

Lucky they did not try What 3 Words where with a wrong word you could end up anywhere workdwide!

W3W is dangerous in the wrong hands! I understand a SpecSavers appointment has been made for the proof reader of the ad :D

I have a friend who has lived on a broad beam canal boat the past 7 years. We meet up regularly when she is cuising the Oxford end of the Thames river and Oxford and GU (round MK and Watford way) canals. Directions to find her are mostly, by nessesity, via W3W. Last visit required a meet at Lot Mead Lock, nr Croxley. Try it - calls.damage.news. The sat nav road data is a bit sketchy round there, flying blind might sum it up. I think I will need an entire new suspension package for my SMART car, never mind my spine given a good work over by a chiropractor as a result :confused:Max.

Apologies for thread drift in advance...

But I used W3W to find my great-grandparent's grave - John & Jane Hall - in Chadderton Cemetery, Oldham, and then asked a local stonemason to refurbish and re-letter it. John was a manager of the "Industry Mill" in Oldham circa 1900s

W3W has a great use in the wilderness of cemeteries when you're hunting old relatives...

W3W is useful for locations, but pretty useless for navigating to said location. The router doesn't rely on roads, so you can end up at the wrong end of a field or the wrong side of a river. How do I know this? Try using for a pumping station on The Fens!

Our problem (for visitors to the bungalow) is we are closer to Hawton Crescent than Sutton Passeys Crescent 'on the map', so Google maps directs people to the cul-de-sac on Hawton..
You are one garden away from us, but can't get to us. - We are four gardens away from Sutton Passeys, where the access is.
