With Spring well and truly sprung, it's time for the first G Scale Garden Railway Update of 2017, featuring a bit of progress, as well a few plans for the railway over the coming months.
In this update, we take a look at getting the track ready for running trains, as well continuing work on the new extension and Valley View Siding.
Hope you enjoy!

Hi Callum, nice update. Have to say to you though those plants are not Bluebells. They are Muscari or Grape Hyacinth. They flower a bit earlier than true Bluebells shich are probably about to come into flower any time. Your Muscari start as a very small Bulb and it is quite likely that birds will poop them anll over the place after eating the seeds off the Flowes. The bulbs start very small in fact it is sometimes difficult to tell them apart from Cooch Grass seeds. Like all bulbs they rely on the Green Die Back to feed the Bulbs for next season, so if you around now just clip them back (where you do not want them!) every year they should stop comming back in your track. In my Plant Expert Book where I found the name for you they are not highly regarded amongst Plant Experts but do say our Gardens would be much poorer without them. A remark that I fully agree with. With my lime being mostly high up I do not get problems with them in the Ballast as you do.

Thanks for the info John! Will be sure to sort them out ;) The worst of them are all cleared now and trains are back up and running. Managed to get most of bulbs out so, hopefully, they won't be coming back any time soon ;)
