g gauge cl 66 to dcc

I have done this..
You need a 'chunky' decoder. I have tended to use a Massoth XL, combined with a Phoenixsound card for the sound.

However, I would most likely use an ESU, or Zimo, combined unit these days.

If this is an Aristocraft model, be very aware that the motor and pickup wires may not match colours (for function/polarity) from both power-bogies.

These units are not particularly 'DCC friendly' and getting the lighting to work can be a challenge. - I cheated, and used a DPDT relay, to reverse polarity into the existing board, to give directional lighting.
You can still arrange to turn the lights off by DCC command, and have the manually switched option of day or night running.

There is no other.

£280 on vectis becomes £385 when you include fees vat and shipping based on my purchase last month.
Yes, I go by the 30% rule with all Auctions, If im bidding on something I like I write down beforehand the top dollar what im willing to pay plus 30% and thats a more realistic price. People get giddy (i have) and its easy to get a bit trigger happy. I purchased some track from Vectis last month also, It was much cheaper on direct on Vectis own website than the saleroom or other platforms.

Two GE 4/4s went for good prices on there today £220 also.
