Frank N Stein arrives on the roster
This barely qualifies for kit build but here goes.

As a viable loco it is a failure, it either topples or falls to pieces!
It's oddest 'feature' is that there are no flanges on the drivers,
The Kit is French made Meccano, it makes 4 different locos and 4 other models.
I saw it on ebay and couldn't resist seeing how it turned out.

Allen cap screws - Meccano's gone up in the world. its a shame it doesn't work.
Maybe run it at night in light of a full moon.....:nail::nail::nail::nail::nail:

Shades of the 1930's Flash Gordon stuff!

I have made a couple of improvements but it will never rival a Stainz!
Time to try some of the other configurations.

I was never a fan of the old Meccano, clumsy and awkward to build. This was quite easy, the nuts are well made and even in awkward locations they 'take' the thread without much fiddling.

Funny you should say that, it also makes into a spaceship!

Made of melted down Peugeots and Deux Chevaux, so it should start rusting around about.....now! :rolf:
It's quirky but must be a giggle when assembling. Any chance of adding weight to lower the centre of gravity? :nerd:

Yes that is one of the slight changes I made. That and altering the alignment of the 'cylinders' which I had done wrong. It now runs instead of hopping.

Funny you should mention that Phil.
How are you fixed to fit Massoth card and add a rack pinion?:D

Aren't the drivers the Mecanno style wheel with two flanges so that a rope can be run between them on a crane? If not, maybe swapping them for the two flange type will help.
