Hi, Guys.
I recently acquired a new GEU25 for a good price and want to fit a decoder.
First problem was that one of the motors did not work but I traced this to a disconnected wire - that really annoys me as there is a "Tested" label on it, but i have managed to fix that.
My preference is for an ESU Loksound, as per other conversions, but the attached photo intrigues me as it looks like a Plug and Play type connection on the Aristo Board. I usuually strip out all the components, but if there is a way of not having to solder in resistors etc for the lights then if this is a Plug and Play can anyone tell me if there are any tips/ problems/ anomalies ?
I do remember once someone saying that you have to download the sound BEFORE you install it as Aristo electronics play havoc with decoder programming.

That is indeed a plug and play board designed for, amongst other things, the Aristo Revolution system.
All wiring is to the 12 pin socket with the blanking plug in your photo. The other socket is just for mechanical support.
Have a look at section 3 of page 32 in the Revolution instructions. This shows seven connections to an adaptor for this 12 pin socket. Sadly it doesn't give details of the adaptor wiring but you may well be able to work it out.

From memory I think some of the 12 pin connections are duplicated and others unused.
 
Have a look at a Massoth emotion XL or XLS manual. It explains how to wire the Aristocraft socket to a Massoth decoder (or any other decoder for that matter). The manuals are available for download from Massoth's website.
