Hello all,

First attempts at video from the GWRR.
Two "cab rides" in both directions along the finished part of the track.
Excuse the uneditedness of the clips, I've got nothing on my PC yet that'll let me edit .3GP files.
The track is not fully bent smoothly to shape yet, but is pretty level.

And the other way, rather faster -

Brilliant , what a setting for a railway

BEWARE BRICKS ON LINE - WHERE IS THE HEALTH AND SAFETY MAN!

Seriously, great vid of a line that has great potential. Wish I had the size of garden that you have. I did have a massive garden, but the work got to be NO FUN. A lot of that was the layout of the Garden and loads of Fruit trees. My next move will I hope get me a Garden larger than I have now, a blank canvas. The Garden for a Railway will be more important than the house!

FANTASTIC HAMISH!!

There's nothing like the glow of satisfaction from having something running, is there?
I think you need a live steamie to test that line. Now I just happen to have one handy.....

this is going to be awesome. i can see big long trains making their way roud your garden already! it looks like you a constucting a proper railway- rather than an out door train set!

Very nice; look forward to seeing the finished railway....

I like your sweeping curves (oo-er missus). ;)

What are your bridges made of? I particularly like the low sided one - is that plastic plasterers beading?

Hi Adeshers,

Yes, it is plasterers beading.
There's two of the low bridges, one of them uses tiling edge trim for the internal angles, the other is all beading.
They were load-tested with a 20Kg breeze block.

Love the bridges.
That does give an excellent girder type finish.

looking forward to seeing the next video when it is completed. How long will the route be - any chance of a high level shot of the garden to see how you have blended in the railway into the garden

very nice

Great video mate.

Loved seeing the behind the scenes start to video where you got to see just what is under that finished ballasted part of the railway.

And well as for that bridge, it was worth watching it just for that mate.

Jason.
