First new locomotive this year!

These days I keep telling myself I have far too many engines....but when this Southern Pacific liveried SD70MAC came up a few days ago I just had to have it. It may tower over the stock, which is actually Gauge 1 to go with the GS4 steamer, but it still looks superb to me. I suppose I will have to acquire some G Scale coaches now for it.

Beautiful, love that livery. I was thinking trying to get an MTH GS4 once, Accucraft live steamer stunning but way out of reach. I used to have a rake of 5 USAT streamlined cars in Daylight livery, with a matching Daylight ABA F3 lash up to haul it. Got them from G Scale Junction in the US, when they were on a "close out" deal and it was $2 to £1. Landed it worked out 1:1 $/£ with shipping/insurance/tax, happy days. Had your the scale problem the other way around on the GS4. Sold them on, and others, around 15 years ago when I switched to 3ft gauge in Fn3/1:20.3 scale and 16 mm. I miss it and the Aristo' heavyweight set I had too, sometimes. Max
