I've been having problems playing movies in Firefox recently and it seems there is an issue with the latest version of Flash Player if you also have the Real Player Video Download feature enabled.

If you're having problems with movies in Firefox you might find this page useful:

Dont know if its connected but.......... i use IE and for a few weeks ive noticed sometimes i cant hear the sound on some videos so what ive done is just reset back to the pevious day and all is ok again .....Then last week i was on you tube and got a seperate pop up saying an auto update had been instaled for flash player .....low and behold the sound wouldnt play on youtube or any other internet site so now ive reset back and deleted it....not had the problem again

Looks like there are some issues with the latest edition of Flash Player - no doubt this will be spotted and a further update will be issued in due course.

I have been having this problem for several days. In the past restoring to a couple of days earlier has worked but this time neither IE nor Firefox will d/l videos.
Why can't they just leave well alone?

Thanks for the link but if Firefox think that is helpfu then they are out of their tiny minds. Most of the terms they use are gobbledygook to me.
Incidentally it is quite different to the 'fix' they sent to me and that didn't work either!
IE just have not even acknowledged that there is a problem.
One web site suggests that it is caused by the Internet Providers introducing restrictions on downloads. (???)

I just rolled Flash back to version 10.3. had to unload the latest version first and remembered to switch off auto update when I put 10.3 back on.

I've left Flash as it was - didn't understand the updates and there didn't seem to be anything that I'd need anyway.

Being a computer dunce does have some benefits (for me)

I have got the download to work on the laptop using IE - no idea how it has happened. It will not work on Firefox on either the laptop or the PC. The PC will not d/l using IE. &:
