Started building Filisur buildings some time ago and the progress has been slow, but here's what's been done so far:

The beginning...

The small barrack is made to fit above the turntable electronics with lightbulb.

Modified version of the Pola turntable. The glue has not worked well and has made the plastic "steel plates" bubble (not shown in the pic), so I have to redo this one...

And finally so far, the station building with veranda...

They look quite smart!

Excellent work indeed - love that intricate woodwork:thumbup:

Very nice!

I guess these are for an indoor layout, as the turntable is not recommended for outside use....

Recommended where Giz? I've helped a mate to install one outdoors this year. We had to change the electrical connections, but that was because they were rubbish as provided and wouldn't have worked indoors, let alone outdoors. I've just checked Gaugemaster's advert and they say it can be used outdoors?

Have you modified the turntable electrical contacts Loco?

Thought I'd read it somewhere on a forum, but maybe another make.

The only one I've ever seen in use is indoors....

0beautifully done..

The Coop wagons the wrong way round

The turntable is converted with new electrical pickup, bearing rollers and drainage holes. Pola recently discontinued this table due to motorising issues. My experience is not very good with the table, and would very much like to see a an alternative - preferrably a RhB / Filisur style IIm turntable. Originaly intended for an outdoor layout, but I am leaning more and more towards a large indoor layout.

Phil: Do RhB run their waggons in particular orientations?

The Coop wagons run refrigerator unit first.. as the real ones draw air in through this unit and then it's vented out the back of the wagons.. ;)
I should know this.. :rolf:
the one you have is the one i need to get every version thats out at the moment.... :'(

Are you sure Phil? There's a lot of photos out there of them with the refridgeration unit at the rear, does this mean they are empty? How do they turn them at the end, Do they load them with the unit at the front? It's not going to matter during shunting and although it kind of makes sense for older ice cars with mechanical units it's usually forced draft with downward vents to stop rain getiing in.

I would presume they are empty?
I presume when they reach where they are going they turn the actually containers around after finished loading?
I don't think they would be able to pull air in if the unit was the Wrong way?
Me thinks these needs researching.. ;)

The intake has fans so that shouldn't be a problem any more than being directly behind a van or coach which would also block direct airflow. As the speeds are relatively low It shouldn't make much difference which way round they are. I'll ask on the RhB forum as one of the guys is a driver.

I don't like it![style="background-color: #00ff00; color: #00ff00;"]

[style="color: #00ff00;"]I love it!

I worry about you sometimes Phil!:rolf::rolf:

Wow! Beautiful work on the buildings!
As for the direction of the refrigerated containers, I would be really surprised if they designed them to run in only one direction when loaded, but stranger things have happened! As you say, Gion will set us straight, eh Paul? :)
