Faulty 0-4-0 loco - SOLD!

Unless the remedy to a problem is obvious I do not have the knowledge or time to attempt a repair so here for sale is a faulty 0-4-0 loco. When placed on the track and power applied it might very noisily move a few feet then stop with some horrible noises. The very short video shows this happening. The chassis is Lehmann with the number 1991 but I'm not sure how much above that is original. There are buckets, a toolbox and a vice attached to the front and in the cab are a driver and a shovel. The bell is detached but present and the chimney is very loose in its hole and wobbles crazily if the loco decides to actually move.

Is £35.00 too much? that would include shipping to the UK mainland. Further afield might have to be more.

The drive gears on the axles are probably stripped as this is a common problem on the early Korean made versions of these locos.

I think I have a spare set some place.

Don't over tighten the bottom cover because the Korean ones tend to crack easily. I think the boss is not as bulky as the German ones. I see the chrome plating has worn on the drivers.

I've got a box with several of these all with broken chassis. The plastic is very brittle and can shatter if dropped.

Mike these only need a small tap and the plastic breaks. You can't treat them like other LGB locos. Almost any contact will break the plastic of these locos as what plasticiser was in the plastic 20 years ago has evaporated. If you have to open the gearbox to replace any parts you need to be very gentle!

Looks like it was run outdoors quite a bit. No offense to you outdoor model railroaders, but UV radiation will take a toll on LGB plastic. That looks like a Porter, eh?
