Can anyone please recommend a good exterior mat varnish to protect wooden G buildings to be located outside full time.

You may be better with a thin coat of watered down 50/50 external grade PVA that will dry pretty well invisible, just know that it will be a whitish finish when applied. Varnish these days is pretty rubbish even so called external varieties..

So, in the US, there are numerous coatings for clear, but getting clear matte is a bit harder, polyurethane comes to mind, but narrow it down by finding the ones with UV resistance.

In the US the brands are Krylon and Varathane... no clue what you have, sorry.

Have you had a look at the plasticote range, I've used their matt varnish/sealant and it seems to work
