I think going to a brewery might not be the best of things for Mike

Days two and three at the Wychbold and Stoke Prior Railway

I was allowed to visit the signal box at Stoke Works and it was there that I met James.


After a brief chat I was invited up onto the footplate.



Next was a brakevan ride around the garden. Unfortunately my height precluded me from getting a good view. Spiteful Brakevan didn't look too impressed either.



This was followed by a cab ride in Toby . . .




. . . and a ride on the rear balcony of Henrietta.



Winson then took me to both ends of the unfinished railway.

This is where the branch line will eventually start at Brookside Station.



At the other end of the railway, the double track will next pass over a low viaduct. Some of the materials are already on site.



All too soon my visit was over. Here I am waiting for a train to take me to my next destination.

Today, Mike arrived by the TEE Express at Kleinbach Junction, where the LGB connects to the rest of the G scale railway network....

As befits being a VIP, a reception was held in Mike's honour, hosted by Princess Caroline and Senior Railway staff....

Mike was seen away on the local mail train to High Mill Junction for a day trip to the seaside....

Down by the seaside, Mike decided to get an ice cream, but there was quite a queue on this fine sunny day....

The beach here is quite rocky and secluded....

Mike quickly left the beach and visited the Donkey Sanctuary....

Then he decided to have lunch and a pint....

Continuing on his trip, Mike noticed that there seemed to be a lot of persons from the TV living in the area....

A quick visit to High Mill before heading back to the station....

It was very quiet at the station. There must be a train due though, as there was a train spotter waiting to take photos of passing trains....

It turns out that there isn't much passenger traffic on the line as the LGB is primarily a freight operator.

So Mike has to cadge a lift from a passing engineering train....

Back at Kleinbach Junction, Mike is greeted by the station staff....
