Well, it seems eBay trials it new fee structure in advance downunder. Increased fees with final value fee now 7.9% with max limit applicable only to motor vehicle and land sales.
For private sellers there is a free insertion fee up to thirty items a month, then normal insertion fees apply. If you have achieved a few recent sales then the free insertion listings do not apply. You are now regarded as a defacto store front and must pay an insertion fee of $1.50 less than $100.00 value and above that a $3.00 fee, plus of cause the 7.9% final value fee. EBay also constantly hints that you open a storefront and pay the $24.95 monthly fee. Then you factor in the compulsory PayPal fee and eBay becomes a very expensive medium. however, how else would I reach my target audience?

I have made so much money for eBay that the ex-founder has teamed up with Steven Speilberg to investigate the possibility of mining asteroids. Who would have thought that my meager sales would put men in space to mine asteriods?
