I have had the situation where I had to double, triple or even quad head trains to get a decent rake up my inlines.
After bashing some ordinary rolling stock into `motorised helpers` the triple and quad stuff is now only done for specials like when dragging a rake of heavy aluminium streamline passenger cars up the gradient (I can`t really bring myself to `bash` and motorise those little beauties).
LGB`s Genesis units lead a modern day `Zephyr`....I wish that one manufacturer would do models of the New sleeper cars etc (like the `Great Trains` company versions of years back)
The California Zephyr crests the summit of the climb
Multi heading freight with `muscle` Geeps is always good value.
When we had the snows.......those Annies and their tenders are now fully customised with real coal, and extra embellishments
SD70 heritage unit leads the F3 units pulling the metal cars of `Ski Train`
