The KeyStone army set I bought 3 years ago (or so) was less than £100 from a UK supplier. Even more "cheap and cheerful" than an old Bachmann Big Hauler set, but it works. I had to re-gauge the leading and trailing loco wheels as the flanges are not a good profile. The wagons are perfectly usable.
