Diggle Valley RailRoad Rack Railway..

That was brave..
It would definitely invalidate the guarantee!
:rolf::callme::rolf::rolf:

I noticed a sign at one of the zig-zags that seemed to indicate that the railway originally went there and back :mm::mm:

I wonder if the DVRR still exists?

The video was posted 10 years ago....

It's being reborn, higher up the hill

I'm terrified of heights and watching the ascent made my hands sweat, I had to turn the video off when the descent started. Absolutely amazing and defo loony.

There are some wonderfully scary dead-ends, literally in the middle of nowhere.
:D :D :D :sweating:

I would love to know how far it climbs?

I would love to know how far it climbs?
If you mean the total elevation I was curious too. It probably went off the loco altimeter. :D

Sandy has moved the home further up the hill..same building, a old mill..the rack railway started at the middle of the mill/ part we're Sandy's living room was.. now sandy has moved to the top level of the mill . And added a beautiful extension, so you can walk out on to the hill .(5 story mill, built into the hill) The re build is on going

Good grief! Absolutely amazing! Completely bonkers of course, but ..... I do now have a rack locomotive. Maybe all I need is a mile or two of rack inserts a nearby hill/cliff and a supply oxygen.
Mmmm.

Amazing! All I kept thinking was - How and how often does he clean the track?

Gosh, this thread has been going for a while hasn’t it!

The DVRR as Mike said is no longer with us which is very sad, however, the layout has made a comeback!

I have made a thread linked below where I will upload pictures of progress and running sessions.
