Can anyone tell me if there's a (UK preferable) source for decals for an American tank car. Not too fussed about the ownership, but not a standard gauge RR. Something generic like Tidewater, Gramps, Conoco etc. would be ideal.

Many thanks.

Not a UK source but try Phils narrow gauge. He has detailing parts andmakes kits and decals for those kits.

Steve Warrington at Back 2 Bay 6 usually has dry rub-on decals, letters and numbers, by Woodland Scenics, so you could invent your own brand name. I've used them quite a few times - they're easy to use and give a great finish.

Just tell me what you need with a photo or a link, and I can probably make a vinyl transfer for you.

Thanks for that suggestion - I've contacted Phil, but he only supplies decals with complete kits.

Saw this chap at Llanfair show, they were dry rub transfers

Looked really smart and easy to use, with good clear and usefull instructions.
He will do custom jobs, any design you like, he said he already had many logo's font styles etc in his library. (certainly had the Rio Grande)
Am putting together an A4 sheet worth of decals, haven't got round to a price yet though
May be worth a look and a chat
He has a web site not sure how finished it is yet, could not get it working last time i tried

Any body used these ???

edit - web site fully loaded this time, check out the new gallery pic's

I have had custom Transfers done by precisoin labels, and I was very impressed with the quality, and the service, though it is not cheap, it cost me about £15.00 per wagon.
