Dave Hub's garden resurrection, let there be trains.

Well after enjoying the build of my church, I decided to buy a signal box. it was on offer from Grootspoor, and bad weather was stopping me working on the track.

The signal box is just South of the station area. It is placed at the South junction. Originally it was supposed to go in a space at the other end of the station but clearances were too tight. So this spot had to be found.

the last lot of photos show the station area, passing loop, and shuttle teminus. The wooden platform is temporary until I can make something else. it is just a size guide.

Do you think the clearances will be ok between the loop and platform line?

Yeah! I like it too, BR meets Darth Vader  want one!

Getting the odd building or two is a great help - the church is nicely sited and the trees will be great with it. that gradient looks a big ask for anything over a dozen axles tho', unless your traction has two motors

GH

BTW Do the dogs have PTS certificates and have they produced a method statement?

In my last post you will remember the wife let me utilise her pumpkin patch. (keep it clean Mel. I know what you're thinking.)
No, no mate - all sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Mine often does the same with her Melons.:bigsmile:

Network's coming along a treat mate. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Super stuff Dave. I likes that plough as well.......

Thanks for the coments folks.

A couple of buildings really do change the railway. Even the wife is impressed.

Hopefully I'll get the shoddy track laying done so I can start inviting people over to help bed in the "network".

Snow plow is available for lease. 10p per day in summer. £1000 per day in winter. Thats privatisation for you. Utilising ex- BR machinery to make stupid profits.

With our wacky weather, it just might snow in June and the plow hire would be a bargain!

Nice work btw Hubster....

Hello,
Just a quickie. I am still alive but time on the railway is getting harder to find at the moment. I have managed to add a couple more buildings near mugglesford station.

buildings just add to a railway feel. I never realised how much my little railway was missing them until I started to visit other railways.

Perhaps in this crazy summer we need to be a little more hardy.
Here is a photo of my nephew watching the trains in the rain this weekend. He loved it even in the rain. We ended up spending several hours running trains in the rain. I was wet and miserable. he was so happy to have seen uncle Dave's trains.

Hello Folks,

Its been a long time since I posted anything, I hardly get 5 min to myself at the moment, trying to get the house ready for our imminent arrival is a busy time.

I noticed a thread about the new playmobil range, I bought the gantry crane, the comtaier lifter, and the train all on pre order from spieltom. Iwas cheaper postage and the RC train was only 89 euro on pre order, (a bargin).

Here anre my pics of a make shift container depot. It will become permanent, once my neighbour renders his new extension. It may not stay the same layout as I may try to fit in an extra road. The wife allowd me the extra space as I lost my playstaion room to become a nursery.

And yes the container lifter, is hodling a 45ft aristo container, its counterbalanced lovely. Though the bigger USA and Piko boxes will not fit in it grapple.

Appologies for the shoddy photos, I had to use my phone as my camera is misplaced amongst the chaos at the moment.
