Hi All
I have the above unit in need of repair, can anybody tell me where I can get it repaired in UK.
its 2 years old and has had some over load melt at the spring connectors on the back of it.

Do you mean the battery springs Brian?

If the springs aren't damaged, you should be able to clean off any residue.

If you can post a picture of the problem, I might be able to help....

its one of the plastic buttons that you press down that partly melted.

Brian,
When this happened to several of mine, I gained access to the power strips that feed the spring terminals by removing the base plate (four screws) and then soldered wires directly to the internal power strips, then cutting a notch in the back of the base plate to clear the new wires. The spring terminals are now bypassed and you have wires with an infinite range of connections options and absolute reliability.
