Cobbled together rotary

Only waiting on snow Sean. Right now the forecast here for the next two weeks is mid-60's to low 70's, sunny and mild. I need to do a snow dance if there is such a thing.

Looking good,when the snow does come along think of the fun you`ll have;);)
 
I'm hoping it is "when" the snow comes and not "if" the snow comes. There is nothing in the immediate future and even longer term is looking bleak. November is usually a good snow month and Colorado's economy depends quite a lot on snow.

Still I spent some time practicing with rotary No 2 - now a Uintah Railway Co. rotary pushed by "pretend" mallets.

 
Yep Sean, lots of trees, so lots of leaves and twigs this time of year. When I built the track several years ago I built it on 1' by 1' pavers with wooden posts spaced every six pavers to screw the track down. I have had very little problem with stuff growing between the rails. These days I walk along the track and use a whisk broom to clear leaves and twigs. It quickly clears the track and a couple inches on each side. I also have a car with a fast rotating brush on front which is kinda fun and works pretty well if the leaves aren't too thick.

 
Snow is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Probably not deep enough for a rotary, but I can always hope.

Rotary #1 (F&CC Gold Belt) is waiting.
