Hi Group,
My winter project is almost finished. I took a few photos to post for those interested.
The black paint is BBQ spray paint from Wilco, and the green boiler wrapping is Pheonix Precision GWR mid period green. Thanks to David Bailey and Tag Gorton for their advice as to what to use.
When I get round to firing it up I will post a link later. Seems a shame to get it dirty!

Well done John. I hope you get as much pleasure out of it as I do mine (and I know Tag does from his). Tag is scrupulous about cleaning his loco after every run and I try and clean the moving bits of mine on a regular basis. That said, I replaced the coupling rods on mine earlier this year now that replacement bits are available from John Boyes at Track Shack, but I think that was because of poor manufacturing tolerances rather than wear. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D

Very nice. Are they cylinder covers? Looks very neat.

The DJB coal fired smokeboxes really suit the Edrig.

Yes they are cylinder covers, bent brass and held on by two nuts and bolts thro the running plate.

Very nice indeed John ? lovely job! These are enjoyable locos to run. May I make a suggestion John? The safety valve bonnets from DJB are far nicer than any of the other and are an excellent price. They are taller and have a lovely and prototypical flare to the base....
