Clay and Slate - heavy freight!

It has been pointed out to me that combining ball clay and slate in the same train is geologically unlikely......but these concrete filled (to represent clay) Big-Big tippers and the scratch built slate wagons made a nice heavy train for the Fowler.

You can see the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmsr...65/7a175b1da6b54f299de417119080d335.jpg[/IMG]

id like to piont out that facts are not esentuale to a very good garden railway!!!
love it!!

Another superb vid that I'll watch again, and again. :)

Very very nice. I love the Fowler in Red. A great rake of wagons. To use my motto "If it looks right, it is right".

Thanks guys. Mike I totally agree - I never let the facts get in the way here - which is why Casey's motto does for me too :)
Cheers

A great video (again) - so photogenic your layout. Anyway, you dont't have to be extracting clay to carry it do you? It could be delivered by road to your railhead for onward transport!

It's your railway Chris, you can make trains up in any way you wish - it looks damn good by the way

Hi Don - sorry for the delay - here is a close up. And yes, there is one with sand too - a recent Ebay purchase I think.
Cheers
