Hi Guys!

Just bought myself a beautiful Class 66 loco today in GBRf Union Jack Livery.

When I lifted it out of the box, a small piece of curved plastic chain was lying in the bottom. Looks like it's off this piece, outlined in yellow.

Bachmann aren't sure they can obtain me the part. Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks a million

Well as it's a current model a replacement loco should be available.
If you purchased it new from a dealer I'm pretty sure the dealer should organise a replacement, sounds like poor packaging design to me.

Not sure if you managed to get the dealer to find a replacement but small scale link chain is available from boat modeller supplies and also from jewellers as plated chain used for 'cheap' necklaces etc and is just the job. It is the correct size and also when you finished making the missing part you can then knock up a new necklace for the nearest and dearest. Just don't say its plated!:D

I think the problem either you or Bachmann will have is that this part is moulded on to the bogie. Its the chain that in real life is part of the parking brake assembley. It is ont usually seperated from the bogie, so its either glue some real scale chain in place, or replace the whole bogie.

Hope this helps.
