Evening all
I've got an ex start set Stainz with sound and an LGB 55021 decoder that I'm looking to install into it.
My query is will the sound still operate and if so how much control,if any, will I have over it.
Thanks in advance
Colin

The basic chuff sound should still operate as normal, I'm not sure whether you will be able to turn it on and off or not though. I have one of these done exactly as you describe, the first thing I bought after the Digital Start Set, and I got the dealer to chip the Stainz for me with a plug-in 55021 (long before I dared to tackle fitting chips myself!). Sound works just fine, but I've never actually tried to switch it off....

you will be able to turn the sound on and off via the switch as before.
