After 10 years of g scale abstinence I have now started again. Paul actually said I was still a member but I's blessed if I can remember my user name. Was it Riverderwent or something like that??
So I looked on ebay to see what was available to start my new railway. Hells Teeth!!!!!!! havn't the prices risen!! So, not for me the big Massoth with its Navigator, I decided on two concentric
analogue tracks with one train running clockwise and the other anti. Couple of pics of the show so far. Will post video when all is well,

On the plus side there is a lot of good value second hand stuff about these days. Proper LGB pretty near timeless for reliability.

If you flogged a loco to Stockers and delved into a Piko 218 then you were Riverderwent in a previous life.
The river Derwent flows through Derby, is that a coincidence?

Lots of places presently have an Ouse-pipe ban.

I can confirm there is no Ouse-pipe ban in my vicinity. My local river......The Great Ouse in north Bucks. Or for that matter the rest of the region served by my supplier Anglian Water. I oused my garden only this evening. But I did use water from my butts to aid my potted ferns. Max

Welcome back .Glad to see I'm not the only Luddite stcking to Analogue. Prices for everything has increased .Looking at the Pola 331618 Breakdown truck kit ( new offering 2025) and it was a whopping £73 for a pretty basic looking kit. I have a few of the Pola vehicle kits but will not be buying at these prices. A quick check in Europe and it is roughly £28 cheaper. Appreciate that there may be local taxes to add and that Brexit has caused costs to rise but it still seems quite a big difference to me. I buy most of my track, rolling stock and Locomotives second hand. New Locomotives often have all the digital gubbins that I don't need.

Welcome back to the forum River Roll. Can't say that I remember you, but then again I can't remember alot of things these days.....:giggle:
