Calibrating Fosworks R/C

My little Accucraft B4 has been fitted with Fosworks R/c equipment. The transmitter is an OMNI TX3
Firstly let me say the installer has made a "pig's ear" of the installation. He has soldered the spindle of the regulator to the servo arm. Nothing I want or can do about that at the moment. He hasn't replied to my question about why he did that? If there was a reason it might help me understand why.
The instructions for the equipment include a section "Calibrating servo start, mid and end positions".
I have reading/comprehension difficulties and have had problems getting to grips with the instructions.
If any other forum member has the same equipment would they be prepared to explain the calibration instructions in simple language, please?
The problem with the locomotive is that the wheels won't stop turning. No problem when it is on my rolling road but annoying when it is on the track.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry though I use Fosworks a lot I have no experience with their servo setup. Who did the RC for you, I doubt that Fosworks would be an issue not replying. But a phone call to Steve at Fosworks (Mon -Fri) may give you the help you need with Servo setup, I have always found him most helpful.

EDIT
Just found this Fosworks Vid that may help you better.

No problem with Steve.
It is me trying to comprehend the calibration instructions.
At the moment the regulator is obviously still open slightly hence the wheels continuing to turn.
The difficulty is understanding the instructions so the servo closes off the regulator completely.
I expect it has something to do with the servo arm being soldered to the regulator spindle.
Can anyone think why the installer decided to do that?
Thanks
