I have 5 probably new Buhler motors for LGB older locos. All tested and working fine. Stored for a while now and just rediscovered. Short shaft, 2.4 mm dia and 15 mm long. I am happy to sell posted for £25 each.

Shouldn't that motor in the picture have a shaft sticking out of it, Ken, preferably with a worm on it....?

Jon.

It is not a 'short-shaft' motor, for sure..

I think they may be for the older (definitely pre-Marklin) LGB rack loco's?

Which would make them 62205's ?? :nerd::think::think:

Thanks Ken. Are the motor casings the same diameter and length as a "standard" LGB motor?
They must be for a specific model, possibly the rack loco as PhilP suggests - certainly not suitable as replacement motors for standard LGB gearboxes.

With the dimensions known, they might be of interest to someone building a loco chassis from scratch....

That's still fairly pricey - I know it's Buhler, but .............................. :nerd::nerd::nerd:

Thanks everyone. I recall having to change the brushes on a old 2-6-2 and thought this was the same, I will see if I still have any specifications.

As people are unsure of its type and following Rhinochugger's advice I am prepared to take offers for these motors.

Can you humour me, and measure the spacing of the screw holes on the end please :nerd::nerd:

Centre to centre of the holes in the end is 16 mm, body length without shaft 54.5 mm. Diameter of body 30 mm. Hope this helps, if you want one or more try an offer.

I have started a conversation - there'll be a little number on the top menu bar to the right of your avatar :nod::nod:
