A short running session featuring a recent arrival to the Blagdon & Butcombe Light Railway fleet, the Bachmann Peter Witt Streetcar in two tone Maroon and Cream Livery.
The model throughout features a high level of detail including adjustable pantograph, opening doors, plus front, rear and interior lighting. As can be seen, the Car is a smooth and power runner, negotiating point-work and 1st radius curves with ease.

Lights are on but no ones driving.....LOL Very nice. Bachmann does a good job on the detailing.

Looks nice - seen on the Bachmann site - I guess they'd fit in nicely with the Aristo PCC car I have. M'mm:mm:
 
Didn't realise they had brought one out in "G" - presumably it is 1/29ish scale rather than anything larger.

Have got an HO model of the preserved Baltimore car, having driven the real thing in the past at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum.

It's indeed 1/29 scale. Looks very small when along side my narrow gauge stuff, but that's no issue. Will have to see the real thing for myself one day.

I think it is just the Baltimore ones that had that body style, as all the others I have seen look completely different.......

Presumably their sales would be a bit limited though if they only did a BTC version!
 
At last, another few tram photos!! I understand that 1:29 scale is smaller that 1:24 scale at 1/2" per ft. As I don't have my calculator with me, I'm not too sure just how many inches per ft 1:29 scale is? If you want to find out the mm per ft of a numerical scale 1:X, just divide the exact metric measurement for a ft (12 x 25.4 mm), by the numeral scale ie by 29 in this case) and you will have the mm per ft. It also works in the opposite direction.
